story appeared on another mailing list (which is infested with
Microsoft users):
For some reason when I reboot, XP PRO now opens with a welcome
screen that requires a click. Since the windows autoupdate
reboots, this can happen when I am not at the computer and some of
my record keeping software does not start.
So Microsoft isn't satisfied that their captives have that "knee-jerk
reaction" -- now they do it themselves by remote control!
