I hope all the CMS chit-chat isn't boring everyone....

I just noticed something rather neat about PHPWebSite's permission system:  
I was missing the forest for the trees.  First I flagged people as an
"admin."  This is a special flag, though not a user group; there were
originally no groups, so I created an admin group myself so I could send
messages to all the admins at once.  Then I discovered that just flagging
someone as an 'admin' does nothing, but I could grant each user 
permissions individually for tons of things.  But I'd forgotten that the 
groups have all those fine-grained permissions too.

So I think what you are supposed to do is create custom groups with 
permissions suited to your site's particular needs and just add users to 
the groups they need access to.

This is much better than I thought it was.  Someone should check and see 
if Mambo does it as well.
