[SGVLUG] Test site update / mambo bug?

Personally, I'm kinda settling on Mambo as a "pretty good" alternative to hand-editing the sgvlug website. The "nice features" are that we can write up items (usually meeting announcements) and schedule them to automatically appear / dissappear as appropriate (not much point in advertising last month's meeting)

phpwebsite is quite similar, but there seems to be a bit more "setup" required (see Dustin's cross-reference table on the demo-site page) I'd like for someone (anyone) interested in helping "carry the torch" of maintaining the site to work on the phpwebsite version to have similar "news items" (meeting announcements) as on the Mambo page (so people visiting can get a good "end user" comparison based on functionality rather than content...)

That said, I've added an "around town" item for the Webspinners' upcoming meeting (Around Town is a "section" I've created for maintaining "other user group" announcements) I also thought to get a bit fancier and add a "newsflash" item linking to "the full story" -- that's when I ran into a bug of some sort -- when entering a link, the system somehow recognizes that the link is actually "relative" to itself, so it converts:

   http://explicict-site/mambo/index.php?<parameters>

into

   ../../../index.php?<parameters>

which renders as

   http://explicit-site/index.php?<parameters>

and effectively drops the "mambo" part of the URL -- as you might imagine, that don't work too well...

This /may/ be a configuration issue, since explicit links that go to "other sites" work OK, so instead of the mambo version of the full story, the newsflash has a link to the webspinners page. (which, ironically, reads "TBA" for the next meeting...)
