Studios are turning to clustered storage because large digital files are
overwhelming traditional storage systems. Digital content consumes large
amounts of storage capacity, grows much faster than traditional data stores,
requires high throughput, and often needs high concurrency.

Isilon IQ provides NAS-level simplicity and capacity with the SAN-level
performance needed for digital content environments. Combining a distributed
file system with modular, industry-standard hardware, Isilon provides four
to eight times higher total sustained throughput than traditional
enterprise-class storage systems at about half the cost.

Isilon users include ABC, Ceders-Sinai, CinemaNow, Corbis, Digital
Dimension, Digital Filmworks, DNA, E! Networks, FotoKem,NBC Sports,
Paramount, Rhythm & Hues, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Technicolor.
