Nope.  I've just been too busy to respond and defend my position.  And
I'll have to now wait till next week so I can use the Caltech library
to get the latest data on the subject, including books on control theory
that interpret the meaning of multiplier functions, etc :-).  The only
book I know of that does this well is the old book: "Dynamic
Programming and the Calculus of Variations".

Decades ago when I was studying dynamic programming, some people
erroneously thought it was computer programming.  Can't continue with
this email since it's time to go bicycle riding with my adult daughter
before it gets dark.
