General Characteristics:
Security administrator to join Ticketmasters Network Systems (Systems
Engineering) group. This group manages all networking for the Systems
Engineering division. Seeking an experienced network administrator focused
on IP security methodologies centered on the Cisco PIX firewall and ASA
platforms. Join a team of experienced networking team focused on highest
availability for Ticketmaster business units. An ideal candidate will be
familiar with networking in a heterogeneous environment.

Workflow:
Team support is critical. The group has a loose, open relationship to
discuss outstanding issues and their resolution. The Network Systems team
has a large number of internal customers. Projects come from sources of
varied levels of technical experience. The ability to communicate
effectively at all levels of technical acumen is essential. 

Responsibilities:
The Network Security Administrator  will be charged with the following
responsibilities:

* Provide subject matter expertise on Cisco PIX and ASA security platforms.
* Maintain 20+ redundant pairs of Cisco appliances deployed across the US
and overseas
* Remain current on industry standard best practices
* Provide highest level of support to all customers
* Performance tune security equipment
* Maintain a technical and security minded understanding not only of
Internet (RFC) Protocols but also internal ones. 
* Perform on-call responsibilities at least 1 week per month. 
* Provide direction to business units with the goal of maintaining greater
security
* Work with small but effective team of networking professionals to meet
team goals. 
* Experience deploying and managing global security policy for a large
enterprise.


Ideal Technical Experience:

* 5+ years of network security administration experience
* 5+ years of network administration experience
* working knowledge of switching and routing technologies 
* Linux/Unix experience a plus
* Server load balancing experience a plus
* In-depth knowledge of each layer of the OSI model, including packet
structure
* Experienced in HA computing and networking
* Familiarity with common security applications
* Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills
* Experience with high-volume transactional clusters
* Cisco security certifications a plus
