Heh. We could have "LUG movie night". You know, just another service
we provide to computer types with insufficient social lives. :-)

Though going to a guy movie based on a comic book might not be the
absolute best strategy.... ;-)

The tagline the advertising has been using should explain: "People
should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid
of their people."

Which is something that James Madison could have said, come to think of
it.

Though apparently (Wikipedia) the political drama isn't what Moore would
have made it: "Moore complained that the script runs contrary to the
entire theme of his original work, which was to place two political
extremes (fascism and anarchism) against one another, while allowing
readers to decide for themselves whether V was right in his actions or
simply insane. He argues that this "little moral drama" has been reduced
to debating "current American neo-conservatism vs. current American
liberalism". [6] He has called this decision "imbecilic" and says he
views the script as containing "plot holes you couldn't have got away
with in Whizzer and Chips in the nineteen sixties. Plot holes no one had
noticed." [7] As per his wishes, Moore's name does not appear in the
film's closing credits."
