I've been running my system using courier-imap for a while, and some of
my message "folders" [directories] have grown quite large (and mostly
unread) -- I'd like to implement some server-side "pruning" of old
messages, with "unread" messages held a tad longer than "read" messages.
Furthermore, in some cases I'd like to auto-archive them to a local
archive (because no public archive exists, or it's incomplete or
inconsistent), and others I can safely drop.
any recommendations from the pros on this? (or websites you've found
that are useful -- yes, while I like and use Google a lot, it's getting
to the point where it is again hard to find what you are /specifically/
looking for... [and how/why I "stumbled" into the previous article I
mentioned])
