Yep. Anonymity is anathema to the USRIAA (the United States of the Recording
Association of America). At some point, I would be highly interested in maintaining a
database of criminal penalties, so people compare the sentences imposed for copyright
violation laws against:
- rape
- murder
- robbery
- child molestation
Copyright violations are beginning to get up there. I've wanted to produce a new video
game, Grand Theft Armchair, where your Wanted Levels reflect the REAL crimes in today's
society:
1 star: Making backups of your own software
2 stars: downloading music off the internet
3 stars: living next door to someone downloading music off the internet
4 stars: living next door to someone accused of downloading music off the internet
5 stars: playing poker online for real money
6 stars: not having any real money
