For those of you interested in a good intro course to SQL and 
databases, I recommend
CSIS 232 Oracle/SQL at Glendale College.

While the course title says Oracle, he covers ANSI SQL and points out
the differrences between Oracle and MySQL.

New prices on Community College courses of $20 per unit means this
1.5 unit course is only $30.  It will run from 9am to 12:30 on 
Saturdays starting April 28th.
