[SGVLUG] Is google going a little beyond their limits with their ads?

I finally got tired of windows complaining that "no anti-virus is
installed" every time I booted, so I decided to install clamwin.
Imagine my surprise to find on the "download" page a small button for
the actual download, and a HUGE button/banner for the "google pack,
which includes free anti-virus software"

Hmmm... the more I look at the site, the more I'm confused -- it looks
like there are three "banner/advert" areas defined on the page, two of
them compelling readers to look into the "google pack", and the third
trying to get them to go to "STOPzilla.com" for yet another
anti-virus/spyware removal tool.

As Mike pointed out -- I shouldn't be giving people reasons NOT to
attend, isn't google doing the same thing by showing competitor's ads on
your site "just because" those sites match the overall content of the page?

Chris -- does the yahoo advert server do the same thing?
