So quit!
Really!
Recognize that the People's Republic of California is an association
of people, not a geographic location, and terminate your membership in
that association. No more willing acceptance of any "benefits" of
that association. No more playing their game, such as "contribut[ing]
time/money/whatever to the defeat of AB1634", because playing the game
implies agreement to abide by the outcome. Recognize that if the
People's Republic of California meddles in your peaceful, private
affairs, it's criminal trespass. But also recognize realistically
that they have you overpowered. But don't let go of the realization
that what they're doing is criminal. It's a healthy perspective.

Politics is not the answer
No truckle to any body politic
Imagine there's no countries / to kill or die for --John Lennon, 1971
Disavowal of political allegiance is prerequisite to freedom.
A secret ballot knows no shame.
Q: What nationality are you?
A: My true answer is that I don't know. If nationality is something
that requires the consent of the alleged national, well, I don't
consent (whichever the nation). On the other hand, if nationality is
something that can be imposed without regard to consent, well, then
I'm the wrong person to ask.
