Thanks, Michael.
On slamd64 (Slackware 11 64-bit 'unofficial' port), I do notice a udev
configuration file for network devices.
/etc/udev/rules.d/network-devices.rules
This file doesn't exist in any other Slackware version I've used
(although I haven't used the 32-bit version of Slackware 11), so this is
news to me.
I did notice that inside that file, my nic cards were all already
listed, but commented-out.
# KERNEL=="eth?", SYSFS{address}=="00:50:8d:95:c4:19", NAME="eth0"
# KERNEL=="eth?", SYSFS{address}=="00:50:8d:95:c4:1a", NAME="eth1"
# KERNEL=="eth?", SYSFS{address}=="00:02:e3:17:ff:88", NAME="eth2"
Removing the comments and rebooting, all seems to work.
Cheers! =)
