Oh, this "Kegel's Law" could have some interesting ramifications...
"Nurse! Why is this patient dead?!"

Traffic lights would stop working. Headless rackmount servers at
co-location facilities that didn't get a visitor every hour would die.
Hmm, I'm beginning to see new employment opportunities for the
soon-to-be-justafiably-out-of-work Automobile Workers Union, who are
already used to doing inanely idle work for high hourly contract
rates...
