[SGVLUG] live CD anti-virus scan on a NTFS/windows system

Hi!

I needed to run an anti-virus on a windows system,
and was thinking a really nice way to do something
like this would be from a "Live CD" thus eliminating
the issues of the current OS being compromised
while scanning.

the other option I am looking at is scanning the
Hard Drive from a linux system.


Currently I am searching google for the comments
of the masses.... and though I should consult with
my peers also ;)

Anyone got some leads/recommendations on this.
