[SGVLUG] "it's not dead YET" - LCD display available...

My mom's LCD "mostly died" recently -- the LCD itself still works, but the fluorescent "backlight" died -- I don't know of any shops that will actually repair/replace that part (if it is even available to be replaced) and even then, I suspect the cost of repair exceeds the cost of a new unit (oh, the joys of being green...)

Would anyone be interested in this for tinkering with it?
