[SGVLUG] Microsoft order to stop selling MS Word

In case no one has heard, a US Federal Court judge ordered Microsoft  
to pay a Canadian company $290 million and stop selling MS Word within  
60 days for patent infringement and violations.
This is not a rumor.  Here is the story from Reuters:

TV.

How is this Linux related? OpenOffice uses the same technology (xml),  
but was left out of the suit!
