What JavaScript Is Not

JavaScript is not the same thing as JAVA. Java is a full-featured
programming language whereas JavaScript is more of a collection of
functions that can be used to add interactivity to a web page. JavaScript
cannot store items for you on the web server. For example, if you are
interested in connecting JavaScript with a database and querying /
modifying the database information from your web browser, you would need
to use "Active Server Pages" or a program such as "Cold Fusion".
