Job Duties: 
Under limited supervision of the Server Group Management, the Computer Resource manager administers all aspects of an advanced, distributed computer system supporting different functional areas of current and future hospital operations. Plans and coordinates system utilization, and performs growth analysis and capacity planning. Performs systems and applications analysis/design to produce a variety of innovative solutions to complex problems. Performs installation, maintenance, training, and user support, as required; plans and coordinates projects to meet future needs.
 
Job Qualifications: 
Candidate must have experience working in a change-controlled environment along with a solid understanding of virtualized Unix and Windows operating systems. Experience in managing technology in an enterprise environment including performance tuning, monitoring and installing patches is a must. Other required skills include: the ability to troubleshoot and determine user requirements and the ability to solve problems quickly and completely without assistance is critical. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work with others, aptitude for comprehension of technical data, customer focused behavior, conflict resolution/negotiation skills and strong analytical skills. 
*   Minimum of 5 years supporting Unix and Windows server systems
*   MUST have VMWare ESX, Solaris, LINUX, and UNIX experience! 
*   Thorough understanding of Unix and Windows infrastructure services; DHCP, WINS,DNS, NFS,AD, SNMP, SMTP 
*   Knowledge of WAN and LAN concepts, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls etc.
*   Experience supporting and deploying industry standard server hardware; Dell, HP, IBM and Sun
*   Extensive knowledge of server security best practice 
*   Strong oral and written communications skills, ability to write project plans and document processes 
*   experience installing VMware infrastructure 3 servers
*   experience managing virtualized systems and physical to virtual host migrations.
*   UNIX & Windows shell scripting.
