The Hackathon at the 2012 Film Independent Forum, sponsored by ZEFR and 
Co.Create from Fast Company, is an initiative to bring the communities 
of film and technology together to create new engagement experiences and 
tools for filmmakers and film lovers.

Beginning on the evening of Friday, October 19 and lasting until the 
evening of Sunday, October 21, this multiday ‘hackathon’ will build 
teams from a talent pool of up to fifty programmers. The challenge will 
be to create technological innovations engineered to engage the film 
community. A panel of distinguished leaders in the film and technology 
industries will act as jurors and award the first ever Film Independent 
Forum Tech Prize to the team that develops a technology product over the 
course of the weekend that can best engage the film community.


Must be a web app, mobile app, or a Windows, Mac, or Linux desktop app

Everything must be built during the 41 hours of the hackathon
