Thanks, I'm trying out Intel's vtune now.
There is a far far greater learning curve to vtune than rotate right's
Zoom, but it seems to tell a much richer story if I can figure out
what it all means and avoid misinterpretations.
At least with Zoom I know pretty much exactly what it is actually
measuring and it is very easy to use - VTune provides so many metrics
I'm a bit overwhelmed, but I have just started to dig into this tool.
Both tools led me very quickly to the same expensive bottlenecks in
the code, so that is good.
Will report back when I have a better handle on each.
