MORI Associates, Inc. is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator
supporting NASA/JPL on the Infrastructure System Operations and Mission
Support teams, supporting hardware, operating systems, and applications.
This job includes analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching and
repair of Unix/Linux servers in a heterogeneous environment. Will
perform system updates, configuration, changes, additions, removals
through predefined change control procedures in multiple environments
from test/dev to production. It also includes creating scripts using
various languages to include bash, python/PHP, and expect to automate
various tasks in multiple environments on Unix/Linux servers, and a host
of other duties as assigned. System Administrators respond to alerts,
events, customer reported issues within stated service level agreements,
escalate problems as required, and resolve significant matters
exercising independent judgment. This system administrator position will
also support storage infrastructure and requires knowledge of Storage
Area Networks and enterprise storage arrays.
Requirements:
- Experience managing SAN fabrics, and enterprise storage arrays
- Strong background with Linux specifically RHEL/CentOS, package
management, file systems
- excellent grasp of command line
- Ability to troubleshoot operating system/application issues in a 24/7
365 environment
- Writing scripts in one or more of the following: bash or other shell,
python, php, or Perl
- Experience working with virtual environments (i.e. VMware, OpenStack,
Amazon Web Services)
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years' experience and Bachelor's degree
- US Citizenship
