Port 67 is bootp, consistent with the theory that it's trying to boot
from a network. You really need to enter BIOS setup and change the boot
order. Once done, it sticks. Can you get a sighted person to do that
for you?

Maybe what you're saying here is that the escape is getting you into a
grub boot window. If so, just hitting return after selecting the
desired kernel should commence the boot from hard drive.
How did you build this system in the first place? From a CD? If so,
that CD should provide tools for booting.
