[SGVLUG] Connect Week in Pasadena Oct 13-22

Hi all,
Connect Week has started in Pasadena and will run through October 22nd.  If you're new to Connect Week, it is basically a week of independently organized events celebrating innovation in science + astronomy, art + design, technology, and entrepreneurship.  I believe it's organized by Innovate Pasadena.  Events include seminars, workshops, open houses, happy hours, and networking events.   It really is fun for the whole family, so check out the event listing and register for the events you're into.   Most of the events are free, though some have a nominal cost.  Registration may be through Meetup or EventBrite or some other mechanism.

Also wanted to mention that  Rich Cameron and Joan Horvath have started up a Pasadena 3D printer meetup that meets at Supplyframe Design Lab.  They usually meet on Fridays, but had to move up their Meetup because of a Connect event.  Their October 19th meetup is in the spirit of Connect Week, where they go over the history of 3D printing and deconstruct four 3D printer designs, including the Bukito, the MAKEiT and the NewMatter ModT.
