Just to chime-in on fun audio discussions...
Have you looked at the zed series A&H mixing boards w/ built-in USB audio interfaces?

I’ve been considering selling my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 to replace it with that one (above). https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Scarlet18i20G2--focusrite-scarlett-18i20-usb-audio-interface
The scarlett 18i20 is really nice, and I have got it working with Linux, although my main DAW stuff is done on Windows/MacOS. My main issue now is not enough external input channels, as I’ve acquired a few new synths and drum machines, so that A&H board is looking much sexier. =P
