Hi all,
The Software Engineering meetup (SWENG) started up again a couple of months ago.  It is for members who are interested in continued improvement of their software engineering skills by learning from each other. We welcome any member to present on any topic of interest so we can all learn together.

We meet tonight, 10/21 at 7pm.  We'll be going through a tutorial to build a Pong game in Python using the Pygame library.  (See the description at the end of the email.) We'll also chat about online resources for self-learning.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please come join us.  We rely on presentations from our members to drive our monthly discussions.

DESCRIPTION:
Lan just learned how to build a Pong game using Pygame, thanks to Computerphile (https://www.youtube.com/user/Computerphile). We will walk through the learning process together in real-time.

If you are interested in following along, please make sure you have a working Python 3 and Pygame installation on your computer. Make sure you test the install, as recommended by their Getting Started page.

NOTE: We will not be spending any time debugging Python or PyGame installs during the meeting, though you can ask for help in the chat.

You can also watch the 4-video Computerphile tutorial:
